Hmm, I remember watching it, but when I see it once again right now, it was not Serena’s fault, I think. ;)
It was all about the umpire. He was not watching it clearly. :P
By the way, this match was EPIC. CLaSSiC. :) JJ <3

Jelena was right here. The returner has to follow the rythm of the server :)

The Empress (Jelena, of course) is right. Serena was clearly in position and ready RIGHT before JJ threw the ball in the air.

    both players are no saints

@markosinjo What are some other examples of Serena raising her hand during her opponent’s serve??

@camaranina Jelena is anything but classy. She always whine on the court about her opponents, takes off her panties in middle of match, and badgers the trophy presenter when she loses. I use to like Jelena but she is way too much drama for me.

@StewNWT and my friend, if u just rewind and watch the replay, for the 2nd point in the tiebreak when serena was serving, you can clearing see JJ did a spilt step before receiving. if she wasnt ready why would she do that? unless she has every intention to distract n annoy serena. JJ’s always playing silly mind games, lets face it. it doesn’t get her anywhere looking at where she is now

@StewNWT for the 2nd point of the tie break, if jelena wasn’t ready why would she reach for the ball? obviously if she wasnt ready she would have signaled with her hand. and that cheap towel delay trick she used while serena was ready to serve, that is just plain annoying!! i’d have aimed the serve straight at her body.

it’s not because she is black, why do they always bring THAT in every argument.

@blooodyman8 you want to know the ironic part of it all? she was arguing over something she herself tried to do earlier in the tiebreaker…she tried to say that she wasn’t ready for one of Serena’s serve when she got aced, but then hey like she said, she should be ready by the time Serena is bouncing the ball. Lol, Jelena and her gamesmanship. Anyways, Serena threw up a hand which is a valid rule, so stop making controversies over nothing.

it is just me or the tennis court is really terrible? I can see both players slipping all over the place. XP Haha, just saying.

At 5.35 Jankovic is completelry right. Who serves lead. Serena had to be ready when Jankovic was going to serve.

serena clearly wasn’t ready at all. she was looking down at first and when she looked up jelena was already throwing the ball. hmm and it wasn’t even the umpire’s fault he ask her to stop immediately when he saw that serena wasn’t ready. jelena was just trying to make a big fuss out of it.

@StewNWT Well, I think the umpire called a re-play on the first point because of all the noise in the crowd, which happens from time to time in the transition to the tie-break, so it wasn’t just for “no reason.” Either way, Jankovic did so well that tournament, nearly beat Justine a few weeks prior to that, so I have to give her good odds at making it far in the French.

@camaranina oh she is controversial then huh?? the media puts on her a pedestal and makes her every move a controversy, its completely unfair and not necessary but it whats the tennis media does becoz if a black player does it, its all so controversial and un-normal when we both know everyone does it.

6:54 – “Jebem ti mamu u pičku”, hahahahaha, to Jeco kraljice, neka si im to rekla… :-) ))))

@sexygreen2010 And what do you expect if she behaves the way she does. She’s brought it upon herself with all the antics over the years. Everyone can judge her, nothing wrong with that. Other players are not as criticised for a simple reason: they behave better. She is just too controversial.

    on 11th Mar, 11 08:03am

@shjtyu And the other way around ;-) . By the way, I’m not white so go on crying wolf.LOL.

Actually, Jelena is wrong. She says the the returner is supposed to be at her pace. That’s not the rule. Many players think that’s what it is. The server is not supposed to serve until the returner is ready. Otherwise, a player at the baseline could serve when the returner may be coming back from the net.

  23. blooodyman8

    on 11th Mar, 11 10:03am

At 5.30 Jelena is definitely right. The rules she was explaining to the empire are totally true.

    on 11th Mar, 11 10:03am

@camaranina so whats your excuse of judging her? u know people fail to realise how much she has gone through, yeah shes been around for awhile but shes still fighting the fight, it just happens that her every move is in front of the cameras and the world… by no means does she have to please anybody, it does not mean shes a top player does not mean she has to get scrutinized the way she does.. its unfair.

@StewNWT, Okay! Let’s let it go?
